Untraditionally, this Tequila from Revel Avila is made cooking Blue Weber agave in stone-lined pit ovens – more commonly used in the making of mezcal. To reduce the smoky character obtained by the latter, a pipe is inserted in the middle of the pit. The blend is then triple-distilled to finish the marriage, resulting in a blanco Tequila with hints of citrus and juniper, complimented by notes of white pepper and lemongrass on the palate.
